How to Configure Spectrum Voicemail

You can set up the voicemail service on your own once you've purchased Charter Spectrum

login phone service. Either your house phone or any other phone will suffice. If you carefully follow the steps, they are pretty straightforward. You can check your messages from any phone once they've been activated.

From your home phone, set up Spectrum Voicemail.

Follow these steps to set up voicemail on your home phone:

  • From your home phone, dial *98.

  • Now type in your home phone number's last four digits (this is going to be your pin for now)

  • When prompted, dial your phone's permanent four-digit pin and press #. You may be asked to enter the same number again for verification.




You will be prompted to enter your permanent PIN when attempting to access your Voicemail messages. If you wish to skip this step, you can use Voice Zone to do so. To avoid typing your PIN, follow these simple steps: Make sure you're logged in to your account.

You'll be taken to Voice Zone after selecting the Phone Icon.


  • Select Edit from the Voicemail Settings menu.

  • Select the choices for Voicemail PIN settings.

  • Put a check mark in the box that says PIN. Skip

  • Select Save Changes now.

  • To change your PIN, follow these steps:


  • Make sure you're logged in to your account.

  • You'll be taken to Voice Zone after selecting the Phone Icon.

  • Select Edit from the Voicemail Settings menu.

  • Select the choices for Voicemail PIN settings.

  • Select Change My Voicemail PIN and type in your new PIN.

To listen to voicemail from your home phone, dial *98 and follow the instructions.

Sign in to your Spectrum account > go to the Phone Icon > Select the Voicemail Tab > Select the messages you want to listen to from another device.

Spectrum Voicemail should be deleted.


Simply dial 3 to remove a message from your phone after you have listened to it.


Sign in to your Spectrum account > go to the Phone Icon > Select the Voicemail Tab > Tap X to delete a message you want to listen to from another device.

Your voicemails are transcribed into a text message using the Readable Voicemail feature.


Spectrum Voicemail can be saved to your computer.

Follow these steps to store your voicemail to your computer:


Make sure you're logged in to your account.

You'll be taken to Voice Zone after selecting the Phone Icon.

Select Edit from the Voicemail Settings menu.

Open Voicemail Settings now.

Select Download Now, uncheck the box next to Audio File, and then click Download.

When the download is complete, open the file and save it to your desired location on your computer.
